1. What is the Series No. 1 “Layne”?

The Layne is a 41 mm automatic watch designed and assembled in the USA using the Miyota 9132 movement, sapphire crystal, and 100 meters water resistance.

 

2. When will the Layne be available for purchase?

We are currently in prototype production. Early access members will receive the launch date and pricing first.

3. How do I join the Early Access list?

Simply enter your email in the signup box on the homepage. You’ll be added instantly.

4. What movement does the Layne use?

It uses the Miyota 9132 automatic movement, featuring hacking, hand-winding, date and a 24-hour indicator.

5. What are the watch specifications?

41 mm case, sapphire crystal, exhibition caseback, 100 meter water resistance, Miyota 9132 movement, top-quality Swiss lume, and 20 mm strap compatibility.

6. Where are your watches assembled?

All watches are designed and hand-assembled in the USA.

7. Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — all watches will include a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and assembly.

8. Will the Layne come with multiple strap options?

Yes. We expect to offer leather, FKM rubber and potentially hybrid straps.

9. What materials are used in the case?

The case is stainless steel with both polished and brushed finishes. A gun-metal PVD version will be featured with 2 of the dial options.

10. Does the watch use sapphire crystal?

Yes — the Layne uses a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

11. Is the watch water-resistant?

Yes — it is designed for 100 meter (10 ATM) water resistance.

12. Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We plan to ship worldwide once pre-orders open. Shipping rates will vary based on region.

13. Is the Layne a limited edition?

The Founders Batch will be limited to early supporters. Regular production numbers will be decided based on demand.

14. Can I see prototypes or follow development?

Yes — follow our Instagram @mryanwatchdesigns for behind-the-scenes updates, dial tests, prototypes, and production updates.

15. What makes your watches different from other microbrands?

We design and assemble in the USA, use high-quality materials, and take a craftsmanship-first approach with transparent development.

17. What strap size does the Layne use?

It uses a standard 20 mm lug width, compatible with many aftermarket straps.

 

18. Will there be multiple dial colors?

Yes — several dial variants are currently being explored with a mix of textures and lume styles.

19. How accurate is the Miyota 9132 movement?

Typical accuracy ranges from -10 to +30 seconds per day, though regulation during assembly may improve this.

20. How can I get early-bird pricing?

Join the Early Access list. Only subscribers receive the early-bird discount and first access to pre-orders.
